I will never forget how I felt in 2015 when, after owning a PS2 for ages, I finally bought a brand new super slim PS3 with a copy of GTA V. Being used to play on PS2, those controls, those graphics, that lively and deep colored Los Angeles caricature potrayed on GTA V just felt incredibile. I am aware that in 2015 PS3 was basically at the end of its life cycle and the new consoles were already available, but that generational gap for me just felt incredibile, it was something that I didn't feel when I recently upgraded to PS4 and that probably I'll never feel again in my entire life due to the fact that the 7th generation consoles provided the biggest update in terms of controls, graphics and overall user experience

Ik this is an older comment but I got to say I disagree because if you considered the start of the 7th gen consoles it was super rocky and game publishers were just getting used to switching to full hd it was near the half of the 7 generation when game publishers really got used to the hardware and started making good amazing games

I felt exactly like that when I bought my PS4 Slim last year with GTA V. I grew up playing the PS2 and PSP and I completely skiped over PS3 so that gap from PS2 to PS4 was fucking insane. I took a long time to finish GTA V because sometimes I'd just stop and look at the graphics and admire just how far videogames have come in terms of graphics. I used to play the shit out of Vice City on PS2 and now I'm playing GTA V with all those photorealistic graphics. It's crazy!

@@mamaluigi0631 I agree with most of what you said but I have some arguments First the pc version of the game considered one of the best pc ports ever Second uncharted 3 and forza aren't as large as gta ( forza is a cars game only ) especially uncharted 3 it's a linear game of course it will look better than open world game but I am talking about gta v graphics compare to other open world games there's no open world game as detailed as gta 5 and don't tell me about Ubishit games they aren't detailed at all Third , they add first person mod new vehicles , new wapons , more animals, add grass to the ground which wasn't their before etc .., is that not enough for you?
