Nice, this is our hometown so we see these trails a lot, sometimes on foot, sometimes on a bike. If you haven't completed the next section yet, I recommend doing it early in the morning, there's quite a few deer in the area and your more likely to see them before it gets busy down there, they're a lot less jumpy then what we would find going up north so you can get pretty close sometimes, and sometimes they'll even come fairly close to you. If you follow the white blaze side trails to get closer to the river you can avoid the pavement from your start to the damn. The pea gravel rail trail after the damn is popular with the snapping turtles for laying their eggs every spring too, if your lucky enough, you may be able to catch one in the act. We bike the three main trails out of town quite a bit, the section between Branford and Cambridge is probably our favorite as far as scenery goes following the river and all, the other two run mostly through farmland until you get near Port Dover or Hamilton depending on trail.

That's awesome! You have some beautiful trails in your area. Yes, I was thinking when I was out last weekend (Brantford to Paris), that I should've brought my bike. I might do that for the Paris-Cambridge section, as it's a 24 km round trip. :) Thanks for the early morning tip, I will do that if I can!
