Whoever was the fellow in charge of the vacuum systems on the wagons needs to be tarred and feathered. And good luck finding an accurate diagram. Think they changed things mid run each year, or maybe from day to day.

Yup about once a year you just go through them all and replace the loose ones hope they went back in the same place!

I own an 1986 my father bought new I was there when we bought it I was 19 years old at the time and gave it to me later before he passed away. We never had any issues we always maintained it and kept it in a garage 100% original. I drove it daily for number of years then about once a week would drive. I replaced the carburetor twice only because the throttle plate wore out the bushings just put a new one on. Never had any issues starting it cold or hot it's always run good. We changed the oil every 6 months or 3000 miles. We live in Southern California no rust and always good weather. I had the driver seat redone once wore out it looks perfectly stock. I grew up driving cars that had carburetors reason most people have issues the don't drive them enough gas gets old quickly in the fuel bowls and gums it all up.

any suggestions on why the cruise won't work? I have a new multi function blinker with cruise button but I believe it's a vacuum issue but don't know which one is for cruise. thanks.

The vacuum motor that that fails closed, where does it connect to?
@screamnmonkee11 ай бұрын
I don’t know. I would assume the thermal vacuum switch towards front of engine. I just screwed mine open.

Great Vid! Got a question: I have a 89 GW. Do you know what the relay is for on the drivers side front wheel well?

Use test light see it power going to solenoid, if not check wiring going to solenoid. There is an orange wire with a fusible link.
