I figured their old school sounds ,and influences like Sabbath, would fall into your comfort zone. Formed in 1987, but only recently started gaining popularity worldwide. The drummer's stage persona is a Yakuza style gangster, although it does look a bit like Elvis. Guitarist's persona is a Meiji era literary master, and the bassist - a Buddhist monk.

Yes, very talented band that I quite enjoy (the few songs I know) and if not mistaken they have been together and putting out good music since the '80s! Keep on exploring!🤘

Oh yeah, Ningen Isu has been around for 30 years. They have 23 albums, and their latest came out about 2 months ago.

Yes, these gentlemen rock! And they put official English subs with their videos, so they're pretty accurate. Yes, the Japanese guys can kill it too! Check out my all-time faves, Versailles, "Ascendead Master," "Aristocrat's Symphony" (they are very theatrical vampire-themed Neo-Classical metal). Galneryus, "Angel of Salvation." Acme, "Rotten Orange" Yajima Mai, "Daydream" (although the band is guys, Mai is the frontwomen) Unlucky Morpheus, "Cadaver/Revadac," "Unending Sorceress." (again guys, with a frontwomen, Fuki AND violinist, Jill)

Definitely not boys. In fact the guitarist gives me memories of my grandfather (except he can shred). Yes plenty of talented male musicians in Japan

Mr. Wajima (guitar/vocal) said that the day of filming this OMV was very cold, and he could barely move his fingers when he tried to shred his guitar.🥶 Btw, they are not that old, around mid-50 at the time of filming this OMV.

❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘they are the most under rated Metal band from Japan they have been doing this since the 80's and have a crap ton of cool records . the costumes they wear are a mute monk ( that is why his lips are black ) a 1980's Yakuza henchman ( not Elvis ) and a Japanese teacher from the 19th century

If this works for you, you might like VoB (Voice of Baceprot). I found Ningen Isu because some reactors that are VoB fans commented that Ningen Isu had a similar sound. And, skimming your videos, I think VoB are from a country you haven't covered yet. VoB have a mix of covers and originals. I like all of VoB's originals, but School Revolution is kind of a signature tune (the are some OK live versions, but the sound is cleanest on their official music video). Some of their better covers are Enter Sandman and Killing in the Name at Transmusicales de Rennes; Sabotage at the Pasiwali festivan in Taiwan (those are all live). They're a big deal in their home country and have toured Europe twice, the US once and had a few gigs in East Asia.

Japan has been doing rock/metal since the 60s. It's not new for them.

Elvis is a yakuza gangster, the guitarist is dressed as a scholar and the bassist is a monk. The black lips should indicate that he has no voice/is not allowed to speak

It's certainly not J-Pop 🤣 Sorry couldn't resist - they've been together since the 80s and do some cool stuff including using a theremin in tracks like " At The Mountains Of Madness "

Ningen Isu subtitles are usually accurate, and are not the common auto-generated, babble. The "shabadabadia" is exactly scat, meaningless syllables for rhythm and sound. There is no translation. I like the 'doomy' _NINGEN ISU / The Colour out of Space (人間椅子 / 宇宙からの色)_ kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3u8aWyQrbuke8k (6m:30s) For something different, you might try Wagaki Band, a mix of female and male musicians playing both traditional and modern rock instruments. It's less heavy. but maybe try _和楽器バンド / 千本桜 (google translate: Japanese musical instrument band / Senbon-Zakura [lit. "a thousand cherry trees"])_ kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZDbhZiqZZuGi9E (4m:39s) for a popular song. The traditional instruments, especially flute and Shamisen (3 string banjo) are very good. Best Wishes. ☮

Actually, "Shabadabadia etc." is the scat of "Heartless Scat". The captions are pretty good, but doesn't translate scat.😊 I don't see The Hu Band in your reactions. Feel like a little Mongolian Metal? Most people start with "Wolf Totem". And, you will want to use the captions!
