It hurts my heart to see Kevin playing. I saw them in Newcastle UK shortly before his passing. Thanks for being part of the band that have brought us such awesome and beautiful music. RIP.

I saw them in Leeds on the Sumday tour. They were skateboarding outside their bus during the day and just hanging about. I bought a t-shirt off Kevin the bassist, and an Arm of Roger album, as he was working on the merchandise stall. It's still my favourite gig.

I remember seeing this on TV at the time. I would've been 13. The sound always stuck with me. Glad I've found it again. Great set. Also, I remember one of the presenters (Lauren Laverne?) introducing the band by saying it looked like the drummer had tried to eat a bear. Forget no one had beards like that in '03

They're not trying to look hilbilly. that's just how they dress and keep their beards. Aaron is a legendary beast of the drum set and a master of subtlety. I've never found his technique to be lacking rather always keeping it tight and simple with some essential details that make his contributions unique. Keep hold in it down aaron! Check out his beat blasting skills in his current band, the good luck thrift store outfit if you haven't heard them yet. Not on the same level of epicness as the grandiose-daddy but nothing to sneeze at either. Highly listenable old timey country western folk-punk vibes with a touch of modernization...they do a country version of sabotage by beasties boys for chrissake doesn't get any more exciting and courageous than that!
