The original album sounded like it was recorded by a full band but was actually all played and recorded by Jason Lytle alone in a farmhouse. I'd like to think there is actually a full band and a huge production team involved in this stripped-down sounding reworking.

I saw you guys at Harlow‘s’s in Sac a million years ago and this song stuck out in my mind. I handful of people were there, mostly our friends, and we drank heavily and cried at the beauty of it all. Few people can rock and make you cry at the same time. Geez we are all so sorry about Kevin. A couple of us that are still left had tickets to see you guys at Pappy and Harriet‘s and then he died. We went anyway and bummed around the desert for a few days, and listened to your music. Sorry you lost your friend. Thanks for being so important to us. Sincerely hoping to see you again.
