The White-crowned Sparrow (Zonotrichia leucophrys) is a medium-sized, distinctive North American songbird with a striking black and white striped head. Appearance: Adults are 6-8 inches long with a long tail, small bill, and a gray breast and belly. Their crown feathers are black and white, their backs are brown, and their lower chests are white. Immature birds have brown and white head stripes and are more brown overall.

Those are such cute birds. We have some similar only the stripe is brown on the head. I don't know what they are, but I call ours chipmunk birds
