I'm 32 and Clean and sober from opiates (3 yrs on pills + 7 years on methadone treatment= 10 years ALL TOGETHER, luckily never once tried heroin) for almost a full YEAR!!! YAY!!! I KNOW the heartache of addiction. The embarrassment and shame. I commend this grandmother and aunt for doing everything possible to help Ashley. I wish them and baby Heaven all the luck. She's so beautiful. Those blue eyes... my lord... just gorgeous.

I’m so glad my daughter saved my life from the drugs I was doing.. So heartbreaking... I am a recovering heroin addict I have been clean since 2005 and I during my drug days put my poor Mama through hell, but I was fortunate in that I was running wild in the streets of New Orleans Louisiana and I was arrested on some old chargers and subsequently I was sentenced to 5 years hard labor. I was a first offender and was classified under the 572 act so I only served 2 1/2 yrs of the 5 but that prison sentence saved my life and even though shortly after my release my Mama passed away I feel blessed that I was given the chance to make it up to her!!! God bless that precious child and that beautiful family!!!... 👏🙏

I may still have my mother but I lost my dad to a drug overdose in April of 2017. And when he died I found out that he had been using my whole life and had actually used in front of me when I was 6. And I had to grow up fast. It’s embarrassing explaining how my father died to new people. But I know that this little girl will be ok. And to anyone who read this whole thing thank you.
