Memories memories puma, adidas lamb skin coats. Break dancing in the street. What fun we had back then in the 80's💯

I was 15 when this came out and brings back such great memories. (1985) The boys and I playing basketball and chasing all the sexy ladies. Where are all my old school rap fans that can relate?!
@deenraida2 жыл бұрын
I was 13 living in Germany when this came out. This is one of the only rap albums I could get my hands on from the base store. Everything else I was hearing usually came from Red or Marley tapes off nyc radio that people would bring coming from the states.

Magnificent! Criminally underrated imp, backed up by the fact that this track is consistently "invisible" on the majority of compilations, with just a few exceptions in the best of/greatest hits back catalogue! Dumb ass logic on show!

YOU TOO YOUNG TOO UNDERSTAND THEY GOT YOU TWISTED TOO YOU HAD TO BE THERE FROM THE BEGINNING THEY CHANGED IT TO HIP HOP TO LET THE WHITE PPL START RAPPING NOW THATS ALL YOU HEAR IS BULLSHIT ON THE AIR WAVES THESE DAYS THERE'S NO MESSAGE IN HIP HOP THEY JUST GOT YOU ALL HOPPING AROUND LIKE SOME TYPE OF FOOLS
@lxolxo710 жыл бұрын
Charlie Morris LOL! You got me a little confused by your reply bro.? I was born in '67. So, I ain't hardly no youngster. I was in 8th grade in '79 when "Rapper's Delight" jumped off. So then, I was there, perhaps not at the very beginning of the birth of "HIP HOP", but certainly early enough to watch it grow. "HIP HOP" is and always was a definition of a lifestyle which included DJ-ing, MC-ing (Rapping), Graffiti artists, Break dancers, etc.! Not a form of music. Now then, when corporate Amerkkka realized this genre could make some serious $$$ from it, hence you have what I call a "bastardized" form of "commercialized rap music" marketed as hip hop! That shit is a WHITE LIE! If you believe that than you are sadly mistaken.
