You are only one person and you couldn't possibly know what you don't know. Didn't you hear how many signatures that she presented to Congress? Listen to hear and not just respond. If you love her I sure can't tell. We talk but don't actually listen to what we say most of the time. If we did statements like this would never be made because basically it's a lie and liars have no place in the push for the total liberation of Black people.

I don't appreciate the casual racism under the guise of "culture". From slavery, to Jim Crow, to segregation, to the Nixon administration, black people have been a target for oppression on this soil since long before America was founded. Problems can be expected to arise when generational wealth was an impossibility, drugs were funneled by alphabet agencies into black neighborhoods, and discrimination was perfectly legal within many people's lifetimes today. The American culture that's pervaded since its founding is more to blame for the state of these cities than the nebulous concept of "culture" that's used to demonize them.

Other, better dates could have been selected for this virtue signal, but June 19th was two weeks before July 4th and thus an ideal time for the Left to say again how horrible it thinks America is.

Meanwhile our voting rights are dangerously being taken away but hey we got a holiday!
@ms.harris807
@ms.harris807 Жыл бұрын
Do you vote? What are you doing to help turn out people who are eligible to vote. Our voting rights are in peril because those that could vote didn't. What is not understood is that those that didn't vote actually did. For the other side. They couldn't attack our voting rights if they weren't there. If Black people voted 70% we could run the table. Don't try to use this holiday as a scapegoat. It is not to replace but to remind. If you don't understand how many votes it takes to get laws passed in the House (218) and the Senate (51) then how do you think voting rights are going to be protected permanently? If you keep allowing people that don't represent your interests to be elected there is no way to legislate change. White people understand the power of the ballot box and that is how our rights are being taken away. Juneteenth as a federal holiday doesn't take away from that fact.

@@fabiofoxmusic3971 white history is world history. Only peace the western world has ever known. Took out tribes of cannibals, ended western slavery that was provided for by Africa (still exists today at same locations in did in 1500). Insane cultures of people sacrificing each other to the 'gods'. White... doesn't even exist, it's a mentality created for division. Find me someone who is a pure 'White' or pure blooded from some ancient tribe, and even then just a few hundred years ago most 'whites' hated each other. My wife is Irish and Jewish and her family were slaves in the US as well, second hand citizens all the way into the 50s. I have Latino and Japanese in me, but am called 'white'. This isn't about color anymore, maybe some low IQ idiots think it is... this is a cultural issue and decay of morals. There is no dignity left. But if anything, July is 'white history' month, and every patriotic holiday is for those who built this country all the trash hate so much (but won't leave). Go ahead and believe that people really give two shots about color... if I don't like someone it has nothing to do with their color of skin but their content of character. People should step back and realize how MLKs words were highjacked by the Left to create empathetic pandering votes. What blows my mind is how the Latino world seems soooo much more intelligent than the average Black American. I wonder if this is the result of systemic racism over the last few hundred years where the slaves were bred to be stupid and big- easier to control. Look at photos of poor blacks and whites 100 years ago... dressed professionally and decent as they can be, proud. Honorable and hard working. What is being done to black culture by the left, especially in cities is horrific.

I will not celebrate this holiday because it's has nothing to do with us as whole country this holiday is exclusive to texas only. 2 this just another way to virtual signal and for anyone doesn't respect and honor are true independence day which was obtained by the founding fathers
@p.hemphill9340
@p.hemphill9340 Жыл бұрын
By this very silly logic only people living in the original colonies should celebrate independence? All holidays are virtue signaling, they are symbols of values we intend to hold. Juneteenth was a step in the nation living up to what was professed in the articles, but wasn't yet courageous enough to live.
