Incredible footage. So much has changed. Great footage of price hill too.

Sadly they have both passed on but I'm extremely grateful for the videos I have of them.

I’ve lived in the Cincinnati metro area for almost 20 years now but WOW. I’ve worked downtown 3-4 days a week for 8 years, been to countless Reds & Bengals games/concerts and I didn’t recognize ANYTHING. Tomorrow morning, I’m grabbing my son’s GoPro and recording my drive downtown. Just because downtown today might look as foreign to my grandkids as this did to me.

I think Paul Brown stadium coming in 2000 and demolition of Riverfront in 02, as well as part of Pete Rose Wy getting torn up and rerouted, is a huge divider between retro and modern Cincy. Fuck gentrification and capitalism, destroyed a lot of childhood memories, the soul and character and local flavor of cities, period

@@xennial80sxberner Guess we’ll have to disagree on that. I moved here in 2005 and that’s the city I’ve grown to love.

Appreciate the memories. That was a hot summer if I remember right. The summer Jams were in fashion.

That ETOH store looked like one that had been in Newport, KY at York Street & 4th Street.

I was 2. Living in Mason. Would love to see a video of Mason from 1986. Holy smokes! Back then we had 1 horse, 1 stoplight (well, 3 really) and Van Leunen's! That was really all we needed I guess...

I was not yet born. Thanks for. The footage! I see they basically cut through downtown and went through price hill. It's funny it doesn't really look that much different from Today minus the awful speed bumps

St. Lawrence Flower shop in the last few seconds of the vid.

Yes, my grandparents lived on the second floor of the building where the flower shop is, and my parents and I lived on the third!

The roads are much worse here now, and they put huge intentional speed bumps everywhere, using actual money and effort to make the roads worse.
