Keep your legs bent while you use the elliptical. When you straighten them it just makes you buck. And don't straighten your legs to slow down, either. You could seriously hurt yourself. When you speed up just use the two smaller grips below the screen, or else the swaying grips will just pull you off balance and cause you to struggle. To slow down from a sprint I usually just put a little more pressure on one of the peddles until my weight starts to slow it down. You should try that. Hope this makes your experience a little more enjoyable. Personally, I really fell in love with the elliptical when I started working out. So I'm pretty envious that you have one to exercise on in your home. I really hope you start to enjoy it, you two~
