That's me too for sure. I wake up in the middle of the night just to smoke, as soon as I crack my eyes in the morning, Im already putting a cigarette between my lips. I just turned 32, and have been smoking since I was 18. I need to quit. I watched my grandpa dwindle away, because of lung cancer from chain smoking since he was 12. He died at 61 in 1999 when I was 9 years old. It looks like a horrible way to go out. He was constantly hacking up black tar looking stuff, he appeared to be just an empty shell. He just sat there in his recliner, bald, frail, staring at nothing. The cancer metastasized to his brain, and he thought at one point that my little sister was my mom as a kid again. I remember at like 7 at night, he kept asking me if I was gonna get ready for school. He ended up in a medically induced coma, in a hospital bed, in his living room, and my mom's entire side of the family, all stayed at his and my step grandmas house, for like 2 nights, waiting for him to die. Then, he took one final big breathe, and that was it. All of THAT, compliments of smoking cigarettes. I SWORE I would never smoke. Especially cause my grandma, my mom's biological mother, died from heart disease from smoking, in 2004. I even caught my mom smoking when I was 16, and I FLIPPED on her. Then I started 2 years later.

I can completely relate to your loss I recently lost my grandma too and it was hard because we were very close she made it to a couple of months shy of 94 yrs old but died of pneumonia. I always thought she would make it to 100 yr-105 yrs old because she seemed like a vigorous older senor. 😢😢😥😥😭😭😭
