Welcome back to another episode of Adapting GTO for Live Play, where we attempt to apply universal principles of EV maximization derived from game theory, to live games where the players are not playing anywhere close to GTO.
In this particular video we are covering one of the craziest plays ever seen on Hustler Casino Live. Is there anything we can learn from the computer to analyze a situation like this? Watch to find out!

This channel is criminally underrated * Not sure if this makes sense as I’m an amateur player at best. I think bills decision to donk and ultimately raise is because he holds the A of clubs. And this means that his opponent is unlikely to have one of the few fives that could get to the River this way, A5c. And if I’m not mistaken Klein being in the straddle and calling should mean he also has 56c more than his opponent. Though I could be wrong, and there’s no way to know if bill knows this.

all very nice but a bit of an overkill in the analisis maybe? but it is usually the case in GTO analizys. Anyway good vid. Hand on the river is easy, he raise because bill can be donking Tx sometimes (it would not makes sense but this kind of players maybe do that" and just folds because ncant put bluffs in his range. I mean is a live play haha, sick bluff tho, easy to call from this side of the keyboard lol
@iambadatpickingusernames6669
@iambadatpickingusernames6669 Жыл бұрын
I didn’t understand the raise from Brian. When Bill leads for pot, he’s repping 5x or TT for value, or a bluff. In that range, there’s no hands that you can get value from, unless the plan is raising to induce a spazzy bluff against someone you perceive wouldn’t play 5x in this manor.

How is being deeper worse when out of position warranting a call instead of a 3b? I would figure the opposite since you can be leveraged into commitment or leveraged out of your fair equity. In addition when they put you past commitment it is much easier for them to be bluffing with a more balanced range than deep. Deep you can call and continue. Or is the assumption the opposite that when shorter we can leverage the pot to get paid on our sets better than deep. If we have an implied 13:1 on hitting a set and we do it is fairly easy to get that money. But if we are getting 50:1 it is harder to hit that 13:1 to turn a profit.

Even if you get bluffed like that in these spots, if you play this good, you'll always come out on top. Its pretty rare for someone to river quads against your pocket pair/fh. 95% of all poker players in the world would have called that raise because of their 2D mindset when it comes to this game. Like the kid said, he didnt have enough to rebuy.

Agree with theory in this video..but 1st..this is locked board...river didn't change anything...so if recreational player (Bill is recro millionaire)has nuts (5X) they would check cuz IP has to bluff a lot on locked boards like this. Only mistake Brian made is raise size...but still I don't see recros donking rivers with nuts on locked boards..and I play milion hands a year If river completes flushes, st8 then its different story..then its dinamic board and story is different...remember that !

At lower stakes like $1/$3 this bluff gets insta-called. GTO doesn't seem to work as well at lower levels of poker as it does at higher ones. In other words, GTO typically only works against GTO.
