The idea behind her character gets aped to shit when they made Verdona. The Verdona storyline of Max's wife being a crazy alien who wants him to go to space with her defeats the purpose and plot of this entire episode and makes Xylene's character completely redundant. So just like the rest of the cool lore and characters of the original, this too was butchered by Alien Force and replaced with something far less interesting and thematically fitting. So that's probably why she never gets used again. Hell, Alien Force didn't even _attempt_ to match up the lore in this episode, as usual. Max was, according to UAF, married to Verdona when he banged Xylene, so that's nice. Not to mention how there is an episode of the OS which confirms that Max's wife never knew about the alien plumber stuff which directly contradicts the Verdona thing. So lame.

For all we know Max’s kids were teens when he was with Xylene. 2) Verdona said herself she knew that Max was still doing plumber things when they had settled down, even though she never said anything. 3) Verdona is very “Free spirited”, and not exactly the type to care if Max was banging other aliens or not. As far as she’s concerned, the thought of monogamy probably doesn’t even exist to her people lol

To be honest, in one of my stories, I was going to write a story where Xylene is Ben's grandmother instead of Verdona who will become Gwen's, Sunny's and Ken's grandmother, making Carl and Frank half-brothers. Also, if neither Carl or Ben have Uxorite traits from Xylene, it’s simple: in my story, the Uxorites are exclusively female and they reproduce with parthenogenesis and every male child they will have would look like their father rather than their mother, that's why Carl would more look like a human than an Uxorite. The main reason why the Uxorite race is only composed of females in my story, comes from the fact that the name Uxorites comes from the Latin Uxor, which means wife.

15:57 Referring back to the pilot, when the Omnitrix jumps onto his wrist - that was a very powerful moment. Ben's disappointment here was because he was under the impression (as was I until Xylene revealed the truth) that the Omnitrix "chose" him, like deeming him worthy - kind of like Mjolnir. Only to realize the truth that the Omnitrix only latched onto him because he happenned to be related to Max, you can see why he was disappointed and its a blow to his self-confidence. Also, this robot was so OP, why didn't Vilgax use more of this robot instead of the cannon fodder he normally sends out. That part always confused me as a kid. Was this a one of a kind robot?

In Classic they were shown as an Earth-only organisation who protected the planet against hostile aliens, and occasionally allied with certain aliens (eg Xylene) who weren’t so threatening. They weren’t a perfect organisation though and frequently displayed alien racism as well as having a number of selfish members like Phil. You would’ve thought that Max would’ve told his grandkids that the Plumbers’ operations spanned the whole galaxy if that were true in the classic series? He never once mentions it. Alien Force retconned them into galactic police without explaining at all, and basically needed you to pretend that they were always this way and that lots of the lore about the Plumbers in the classic series didn’t exist. Omniverse did try and fix this by saying that the Plumbers were initially Earth based but then got absorbed into a galactic police force who then happened to adopt the same name...but the fact that it happens offscreen just doesn’t feel right, and there are multiple issues with the timeline.

16:10 I mean I get what you mean, but from Ben’s perspective when he first saw the capsule containing the Omnitrix it was going in a completely different direction, but then all of a sudden the thing did a complete 90 degree turn aiming straight for him. That is not natural, maybe Ben doesn’t believe the watch was made for him or something, but deep down maybe he has a sense of being chosen for this after seeing the omnitrix just changed direction and go straight to him. It makes sense that he would think that way at the time at least on a subconscious level.

Yeah that pretty much sounds, right, most annoying thing about classic is The you can just randomly have Ben act out for an episode just so the plot makes sense. I really loved that bit you did with “oh, they’re gonna have Ben learn a lesson about working together-“, great comedic timing there. That’s kind of cool then that Upchuck was the alien you could unlock with a cheat code in Protector of Earth on DS, seeing as it was actually unlocked with a code on the show, I’d forgotten about that.

My headcanon has always been is that anodite don't really understand monogamy, and rVedona probably has multiple partners outside of Max. Max himself is pretty cool with this and so he has multiple partners outside of Verdona. However there are two children absolutely hate Max Verdona for this.

Did you consider that maybe the middle eye can close either direction, depending on, for example, emotional state? The first time it closes to her right in a stressful situation, the second time to her left during a kiss. Seems like those might trigger two separate muscle groups. In one case she forces the eyes closed, in the other she lets them close. EDIT: Actually, look at her other two eyes during those scenes. She's clearly not closing those the same direction either.

The only good reason I see for why Vilgax doesn't send this kind of drone more often is cost and complexity. That for the resources required, he can make like.... 25 normal drones. Possibly more. maybe they require a more advanced assembly yard, and he burned through his supply? I do like seeing the differences in an alien's body language. Charmcaster also had to work hard for her magic from the looks of things. Again, seeing divergences in cultures is nice when this show is heavily based in aliens. My one gripe would be that Ben should be in sync with Gwen, seeing only Xylene as someone he needs to learn to work with.
