I REALLY hate this mind frame. My parents stayed together for the sake of us but argued so much that most of those memories I have also included them fighting/yelling matches. Like I remember us going to Disney world and my mom breaking down and crying after an argument. I remember my dad beginning to spend less time at home. I would’ve much rather wished they separated and were happy than stayed together and were low key miserable. Because it trickles down to the children and also influences what they’re willing to put up with from future partners when they’re older. I would’ve been able to form a more stable relationship with both of my parents rather than constantly feel confused by one persons actions, etc. We live in a day and age where you DONT HAVE TO STAY TOGEHTER IF YOURE NOT HAPPY. The parents are also humans too. It’s okay to also consider your own health along with the children, etc. And your kids are young. Now is the best time to do if you are going to do it.
