Seeing men being reduced to tears at the first sight of their baby grandchildren, it's truly profound. Seeing the joy and excitement on their faces is so amazing and fun to watch. I always remember my mom's parents, particularly my grandfather, being so super excited to see me walk through the door. My grandfather (mom's father) died of terminal lung cancer 3/5/2001, and I went to spend what turned out to be the last few weeks of his life with him. As sick as he was, as frail and emaciated as he was, his face still lit up as soon as I walked through the door just like it did when I was a little kid. 22 years later, and I can still say that I have never loved any human being that has ever lived as much as I loved my grampa. I have no kids of my own, sadly, but I miss my grampa every day and wish I had gotten more time with him. Even now, seeing this video, it brings me such joy, seeing other children experiencing what I did, yet such profound sorrow and grief at the same time, missing my own grandfather. I know I will see him again when I pass, but it just isn't the same in the present. To all those who still have their grandparents, who have that relationship with them that I did with mine, cherish every moment you have with them. Hold on to them tightly. Spend as much time as you can with them. Love on them as much as possible. Call or visit them every day, and do the same with your parents. I see my mom every day, I talk to my dad nearly every day, my husband calls his parents every day. In the end, you will be glad you did.

I have a 1 year old and he loves no one more than his grandparents. I’m his father and I can’t even blame him. They treat him the best. They are obsessed with him. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I am a woman, a girlie girl and all that. Babies are exciting, wondrous and precious to me. I hate it when women scream/yell like a banshee for any reason. I get the profound joy of babies. But why are they piercing the ears that are new to the world of sound? Why?! How about following the lead of the men who are quiet, gentle, and easy on the ears? They are just as excited as the banchees. I've wondered about this phenomenon with women and babies. Thankfully, my mother was gentle in her excitement with every grandchild. God rest her gentle loving soul. Miss her always. . BTW, I didn't hear the babies crying before the introductions. (I am aware that some men can do the same. Women have them beat by a phenomenally long shot.)

Maybe they can mentor some kids in their community. So many kids need guidance, whether it's in a community center or church, or coaching. I know it's not the same but they can really be a positive light in some kids lives. My husband and I tried for 13 years and haven't had any children.
