Came here for the sweet sound of robots at work, and instead you played music. I'll check your other videos for some nice motor noise.

Hello Can I buy a project of this machine for self-assembly?

which controller is used to control this stage? And yes, great job, standa
@StandaLTD2 жыл бұрын
It operates in gantry mode with controller & drivers from ACS Motion Control. And could be integrated with Standa LUMS - Laser Machining Software: Universal Micromachining.

Are u using gears for x and y or ball screw ??
@StandaLTD2 жыл бұрын
No gears are used. Ironless brushless (direct drive) motors are used only.

Good system.

Is this for metrology or subtractive manufacturing?
@StandaLTD2 жыл бұрын
It is universal and can be used in both applications. This particular precision gantry system is implemented in semiconductors manufacturing.

why did you use 4 rails for the y axis? its overdefined that way.. the rest is just porn!!!
@chrisf8584 Жыл бұрын
I've done the same thing before. It's a linear stage. The reason I did it was I wanted the bridge on the bearings for other uses besides supporting the gantry. I would suspect they make the linear stages for independent use and multiple axis usage.
@wildniscamper7276 Жыл бұрын
@@chrisf8584 never more than 2 rails per axis. otherwise its overdefined. but who cares. 😂 let it run🤘✌️

@@wildniscamper7276 If I can ask what is the drawback other than added cost of the second rail?
@wildniscamper7276 Жыл бұрын
@@chrisf8584 well, in theory you need two fixed linear rails and the gantry should be fixed to only one side and have a sliding connection to the other rail, to allow for expansion. if you double the rails you have more potential tide spots and deformation and no benefit compared to using one bigger rails instead on two small ones.. have a look on big machine manufacturers..the nerver use 4 rails..for a reason.. cost and maintanace not mentioned..
