Thanks for posting these patterns, Hans...just in time for the dark spring caddis about to hatch here. For the ovipositing bug, I form the egg sac by using a dubbing ball on the thread and pushing it down on top of the hook rear and secure it with some thread wraps at the base. It gives a realistic looking sac. Cement is optional at the base.

Not really Hans. The fly looks more realistic, which helps with all important confidence factor. I use a #12 light olive dubbing in the Oliver Edwards' SLF Master Class.
