Here come the grannies, and this time, Muffin gets to join the fun! =) I'm not much for garage sales myself, but you can find some pretty neat stuff at them. And yeah, poor Doreen. She doesn't want to make trouble by being difficult about prices, but if she lets every customer decide how much or how little they want to pay for valuable stuff, she won't make much holiday money that way. Muffin may not have wanted to be a mean and grouchy granny, but the way she handled that rude pug lady and managed to sell the scooter at a good price was masterfully done! Atta girl, Muffles. =)

XD Muffin out-Karened a Karen, and all she did was pretend to be Grouchy Granny in a game of Grannies! Also, you missed the reference to Princess Diana and Prince Charles in the form of the images on the plate!

Easily one of Muffin's best episodes. And one of my top 3 favorites for sure! I always crack up at "I dont like the color." "WELL PAINT IT!!" Haha Also, just an interesting side note, the background music during the argument scene is an instrumental version of "Habanera" from the opera "Carmen," by Georges Bizet. Not too notable, as Bluey uses versions of classical background music all the time. But I find it an interesting choice considering FaceyTalk (the last Muffin-focused episode) used the Overture from the exact same opera. And (so far) these are the only two times the show has used pieces from that opera. Probably just a coincidence, but I still think it's interesting that they both showed up in Muffin-centric episodes!

Elderly Pug is voted least popular character in Bluey! Having grown up not far from an elite university, it's not uncommon for people who have lots of money to go into shops and demanding discounts, bonuses, etc. I've even heard some brag about doing so at closing times or when the shops are extremely busy in the hopes that employees will simply comply so they can get on with their work...

Then you insult my husband, and now you insult Doreen's hat? I see you chose violence. Good thing, Doreen stopped her. I don't mean to sound too crazy but that's what I would've done if that was me

The grouchy old pug also threw the closest we see on this show to a racial insult at Chili (a toy/fancy breed calling a working breed "cattle dog" is absolutely that). Muffin's expensive revenge was absolutely called for.

You left out the first half of her response to Bandit. He said that she said he looked good. She affirmed that while telling him to ignore her. Basically telling him she’s (grouchy granny) lying about him. As for the hat, Doreen has a problem with standing up for herself and had been brought into the argument unnecessarily, so of course Chilli was going to stand up for her.

Th Bluey fandom exploded after this episode. They all changed their tune about Muffin and proclaimed her/Gladys as their official favorite character. People were saying they watched this episode so many times in one day, whether with their kids, family, or by themselves because Gladys was just perfect. I hope Muffin plays Grannies with Bluey and Bingo again the future.

Yeah, she’s meant to be mean. She’s the real grouchy granny. As for creepy, that’s basically a pug’s eyes for you…
