This guy drove 12 hours from North Carolina to Miami just to meet me and pitch me on the idea of working for my real estate team. He may not be ready yet but at least he had the guts to try-and I appreciate that in him. You have to do whatever it takes out there to get the job you want. Spraying 100 resumes out there online is not going to do anything, you need to meet decision makers and get face-to-face in order to sell yourself and pitch how you can bring in revenue to a company. Red flags everywhere #1. Drove 12 hours just to look like he is dressed for a frat boy party #2 Wants to become an intreprneur and tells GC he needs someone to learn from (once he learns enough he will bounce out) #3 Too much smiling. When you show up for an interview you want to balance smiling and being serious. No one wants to hire someone who is stuck in the relax mode #4 Lack of preperation. (No resume, or any kind of paperwork. Was to pass one question test and got it wrong) #5 No confidence and no verbal back up to why he should be a part of the team and what he can bring to the table. No one wants to hire a mooch #6 Asking GC for a picture at the end. At this point you become a fan boy, not a future employee or contractor. Grant was kind enough to let him take one, but probably laughed at the whole situation later. I hope the guy really changes the way he approaches life in general. If driving 12 hours just to meet your idol is a good time spent then obviously he does not have a mindset of an entrepreneur. I am glad he knows real estate because that is good knowledge. However, 1st impression is everything.

I really really like this kid. 1. Drove 12 hours to meet the master, and not just his go between. He’s young and has brass ones. The cynics here didn’t do what he did. 2. Studying entrepreneurship, which means he probably had a lemonade stand at seven and bought a concession trailer at twelve for kids ball games. 3. Made an honest mistake on underwriting, but knew where he made the mistake. If Grant has not hired him yet, he will. This is the truth folks. I can promise that any of you spending time hating on this kid never took a ballsy risk in their lives. Take a ballsy risk and come back on here. You won’t though because if you actually took a ballsy risk, you won’t be hating on this platform, you will be giving proper information and encouragement. And about how he dressed. Just started following Grant Cardone a few days ago; not going to lie, he seems like the first "rich guy" who isn't afraid to mingle with the common folk and give out real advice, real motivation. Most people who are selling are showing off their lambos and how great their lives are compared to mine etc but GC seems to genuinely want to inspire people. Maybe one day I'll meet the guy, would be awesome. This gets me fired up to hustle x100!! ps: Grant Sir, if you see this what would be a good sales job to start in? I believe my skill to sell is very very good; I used to sell commission dealing in tools and electronics but it's been a while since I've been in that field. Are there any work from home sales leads etc that aren't scams out here that you would recommend ? I have a family and kids but I'm williing to hustle big if it will help my family in the big picture.

You can't learn how to be a full-time entrepreneur from someone who is a teacher because the teacher is employed. Big gap in credibility there. Of course, the teacher might have created a lot of success and be teaching for fun but that is so rare. Find someone who is doing what you want to do in life and pursue them. You don't need to go to school for an apprentice program or whatever this kid was doing. Take massive action and pursue others successful in the field you want to be in

Cardone gave the guy 3 chances. 1st, I'm surprised he didn't rip on him for his appearance. Then, he asked for his pitch "what are you doing here" and the kid talked about HIMSELF. Wrong, talk about how you can solve a problem for HIM or his COMPANY....ASK questions!! Third shot, Cardone asked him what his best skill is and gave him a shot, and he failed miserably at that too. For such a fan, he failed to turn his training into action on a person he respected. On the positives, he had balls to show up and he got to meet him face to face and marketed himself on Cardone's success. I'd give his grade a D+. The great thing about it is that Cardone is now aware that the school he was at it CRAP. The kid wasn't all bad...He knew to go to the top to get things done, thought outside of the box to meet face to face,

You're right. BUT keep in mind you can watch trainings all day, but in my experience, it's really hard to implement those things in a real time, high stress situation like this until you have a LOT of reps and it becomes second nature. Kind of like you could watch tutorials on how to do a basketball move properly on KZbin for hours but if you get thrown in a game with no practice your mind/body won't be able to execute it on the fly unless you've physically practiced it a lot. What this kid does have however are the intangibles--namely--taking deliberate and difficult action, and an unwavering confidence in himself. He drove twelve hours each way to meet a very intimidating billionaire and held his composure nicely. Not like a seasoned salesman. But he didn't get rattled either. This is something that's much harder to teach. And with a little training he can kill it. The mindset is really the key and he's got it.
