This is exactly why I've stuck with Monstercat all these years. With other record labels, they'll just release the same old party-type music and hardly any variety. With Monstercat, the most powerful thing is that they release songs like these, music videos like these. I listen to this song every day. It’s so comforting. I feel like it resonates with a lot of people for their own individual reasons. This song literally makes me feel like everything is going to be okay, no matter what the past, present, or future has held or holds. I will always hold this song near and dear to my heart. My interpretation of the video: (its more of an indepth summary really) This man and his girlfriend have been childhood friends and been together as they grew up, as they eventually get together into a relationship. Something tragic happens and the girl passes away, the man is shocked and doesn't know how to cope (as shown by his ride home). As he gets home he falls asleep and dreams about the good memories that they shared and misses her even more. During his dream, he willingly hands the pendant over to her as he enjoyed the good memories, but as he wakes up he realized how important this pendant was to him and in a sense he can never let go of it (and in a way never move on). This is further supported by the fact that he refused to give up the pendant to both her parents and even at a point to her meaning he was greatly attached with what little she left behind. However, the pendant that she had in some way was her last breath and realized this and in order to help him move on walked him through the events in the video. Eventually he realizes that though he had been through great tragedy and turmoil, he was able to move on from this terrible event and this is symbolized by him leaving the pendant on the tree at the graveyard. (during the flashbacks him moving on is shown by the fact that they say their last goodbyes with a long hug). As he gazes upon the pendant one last time, she appears once more and urges him to move on with a encouraging nod, and with the purpose of the pendant accomplished it shines weakly one last time before fizzling out ending the entire journey. Though the man had lost the thing he held most dear and knew his whole life he eventually was able to break free from its grasp and become higher than this event. Just my thoughts. [Edit 1]: There seems to be some symbolism when in the beginning he freely gives the pendant to her in his memories but as time moves on he slowly refuses to give it up. Added more information. Dragonfruit I don't think they are girlfriend and boyfriend. I think they're just childhood best friends. I think her parents wanted her daughter to have the pendant because it was probably one of the last things left to remember her by.

I do think they are in some sort of relationship, during the funeral scene he is explicitly shown sitting by himself. While this could be seen as simply developing the connection of the two characters, it is implied that HE had more of a connection towards her than any other. As well as the fact that if they were just really good friends why during the funeral was he focused on? Everyone was consoling HIM, not any of the other characters shown during the funeral. Surely if they had simply been platonic friends there would have been others at the funeral who also matched this set of characteristics. Also the way they interact seem much closer than simply "friends" but who knows. They are shown as very close and often spend time with only each other. And he is impacted very heavily showing that she was extremely important to this person. However, many points can be disputed so I'll just settle on "I'm not really sure either." Still a great song. :)
