Playback. Dominique is to late at 2.13 bringing the mic to his mouth. They are great artists, but playback is cheatin'

It was very normal back then to play back in TV shows. It happened 99% of the time. If it would be live they would have needed to practice etc all afternoon and there simply was no time for that. So don't blame Grant & Forsyth.

As has been said, it was normal on most pop shows in the 60s and through the 70s and 80s. Not just in Netherlands, but the whole of Europe, UK, Australia and even North America. It began when promotional film clips were rare and was intended to present the record being promoted in the best light. The intended audience is the TV viewing audience, not the "live" audience. Your comment is like saying miming in a music video is cheating. Nonsense.
