Grant's Getaways: Lewis and Clark Kayak

It's a route seldom taken, but once explored, paddlers will be coming back for more. We explore the calm backwaters and sloughs of the lower Columbia River throughout the islands that make up the Lewis and Clark Wildlife Refuge. We join a paddling group from Scappoose Bay Kayaking for a morning paddle to see the sights and sounds that take visitors a million miles away -- much akin to the way it was a century ago along seldom traveled waterways.

Wow, only 1100 views in eight years? Thanks for the great adventure! I think it's a great show, and the host's enthusiasm made me smile and want to get my ass out there...which I often do. Scappoose Bay is a treasure of a get-a-way, as is Cunningham Slough across the channel on Sauvie Island. Hunt high and low, for hours, and you won't find many kayakkers have made videos about the riparian bounty of this stretch of the Columbia. I have saved your video. Thanks again.
