Hey, everyone who is looking to get the right size grant stone chelsea boot the first time. I will say I just got mine today in the mail and absolutely love them. One other thing is if you're looking for quality realise, you will probably have to spend a little more than expected. Alright, straight to sizing. I did a ton of research and expected I would have to send them back, but they are the perfect size, and I never found my true foot size. So I still wear a half size up in sneakers. I prefer wearing a 10.5 in sneakers, so I have extra room when my feet swell from running. Sneakers almost always go a half size up from true to size just by desine. Grant stone sizes are a half size down from true to size for their boots. Chelsea also run a little large, so it's safe to go an extra half size down. I could also tell that my foot was a width size D. Okay, so from all that. I start at 10.5 and go down a half size(cuz I always add a half size to my running shoes). Then I go another half size down(cuz sneakers are a half size up from true to size). I now have my true size as a 9.5D. Now based of grant stone sizing I go down another half size(cuz their boots are a half size down from true size)(this is where I would stop if I got a regular boot from them)(their dress shoes might differ). Since chelsea boots run a little large(cuz they don't have lacing), I decided to go another half size down. So I went from a 10.5 sneaker to 8.5D for the grant stone chelseas. I expected to have to send them back, but they fit like a dream. Honestly, the best boots on the market atm. Through my extensive research, I found that all other boots had some type of problem with them. Have it be the quality of the material all the way to a company not accepting returns. Grant stone seems to be the Victor. I even considered RM Williams, but I saw that since a new company took over years ago, they started using cheaper materials and raised the price(still not a bad quality boot). I just heard that they are not worth the money. Grant Stone is the only boot company I could not find a single problem with. If this helps, please up-vote it so others can see.

Grandtone makes a very high quality boot. They use more premium materials than Alden/AE. Not paperboard, etc. What’s important is their Double QC Check. They are QCd in China and then again in Michigan. Not sure I’ll call these fancy, but desire a solid casual boot that you can dress up.

I own these! My first well made boots. I’ve had them for a year and a half. I went half size down, E. Perfect for me. You know they’re rugged because Ive worn them to work hundreds of times… bartending 👌

Nice to see you talking about Grant Stone. I've been interested in this Jungle Kangaroo makeup for awhile, and plan to purchase a pair. I have the Rust Kangaroo and am very pleased with the comfort and build quality. I go half-size-down on Grant Stone and it works very well.

I like fancy boots as much as the next guy, but I pretty much sworn off lined boots, I'm hooked to feeling the roughout of fancy smooth leathers. And in roughout boots, you already have the smooth side inside. That said, that kangaroo leather looks pristine.

I like lined boots, but the lining can wear through, so although not as soft inside, I think that you are right, & yes the Kangaroo is amazing

I like my rugged boots and my "fancy" Grant Stone boots. Also have a pair of Parkhurst which are also excellent as well as my Truman boots which I prefer over the pacific northwest boots (which are too heavy for me). Redwings are usually my everyday boots, big fan of the Iron Ranger.

Ha! I am goofy. 40 years of working hard labor will make you that way! I also realize that being smart & strong doesn’t need to give you a big ego, it gives you a responsibility to your world.
