2001 was such an incredible year for gaming. That same year we have: Devil May Cry Silent Hill 2 Metal Gear Solid 2 Twisted Metal: Black GTA 3 Final Fantasy X Halo Max Payne Castlevania: Circle of the Moon Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy And the list goes on. I feel like today most games are overhype and usually failed to deliver.

Woah! I can't believe how long ago this was. It's like time traveling. We all know how different it was back then during that time though. Social media didn't exist so you had to rely on gaming magazines, tv commercials and stores. I remember back seeing Devil May Cry 1 and 2 on video stores. That's how I found out about this game. You could either rent or buy them. Good times.

She was translating a live speech from Japanese to English, which ain't as easy as, say, translating from French to English: the grammar and phonetics are completely different. Also, there's a chance she might have not been familiar with the terms used in Japan for software development, gaming, or folklore. This was 2001 after all: I reckon most translators that get scouted for gaming conventions today have a deeper knowledge of subcultures.

Could you make it better? Translate Japanese to English on the fly? Kudos you must be very intelligent then. Japanese is not easy language. Or are you just a arms chair expert?
