Watching the ProAM yesterday I was scratching my head wondering why you left Mizuno because you were hitting those clubs so well while struggling with the TM all day. When you started the fitting session I think we all heard that "thud" at the beginning. After the lie angle adjustment that first swing was that sweet sound at impact we have all come to love to hear. As I said in Micahs video .. Trottie is a LEGEND. Well done Trottie.

I mentioned this is Micah’s video, love getting into the mindset of trottie with the club fitting. But even beyond are you playing the right clubs… are you playing the right ball. I think a lot of amateurs want to get into pro v1 or whatever but they can’t swing fast enough or compress the ball properly and it’s affecting their game. Last year I played several different rounds with different balls and finally feel like I found a ball that I can hit consistently and it feels good. Does what it needs, etc.

I love to hear well struck irons. You can hear a thud, like a good bunker shot, as the club enters the turf. When you hear that you know that the club has entered square and engages the bounce to get that good turf interaction.

Love the fitting advice. Classic "blind" testing, don't tell the subject what the expected outcome is or they'll make it happen. Like looking at a water hazard and subconsciously hitting it there. Big props to Trottie, understanding how your client receives information, and how they will best make use of it, is super important. Knowing what moves each players needle and using that to guide them is a massive skill! 👍

I think Ventus Blue is the shaft for the driver. A little more launch and spin than the Black. I don't think the AD CQ will hold up on the golf course - and I love the Tour AD shafts.

Grant, I’ve gone down the armlock rabbit hole as well and nothing felt comfortable. You have to give the Evnroll Midlock grip a try. I know you’re a Taylormade guy now, but I’m hoping they’re cool with you using an Evnroll Midlock GRIP on whatever TM putter you’re going to play. It serves the purpose of an armlock but feels way more comfortable and natural. Give it a try, you’ll thank me for it.

Mizuno is a jv squad compared to the setup from TM

@@addisonking3202 you really don’t know much about golf. Mizuno irons are rated wayyyyy better than TM. Also a full fitting by the OEM for all manufacturers are top notch. The only thing TM has better than Mizuno are their woods and the last few years Mizuno has been very good with their designs. Their ball speeds, distance and dispersion are just as good as TM. Just because one sells more than the other doesn’t make it better. TM is just a larger company with more marketing $’s.

MM chill.. I was a fitter for 5 years and I sold a heck of a lot more mizuno irons than Taylormade. I totally agree. But the access to tour level resources; fitting, facilities, etc from Taylormade is above and beyond what mizuno offers
