[English] World Tour 2020 - Sydney | Nations Cup

The FIA Gran Turismo Championships, which has showcased fantastic racing and human drama since its inauguration, prepares to get underway for the third year.
The inaugural World Tour live event of the 2020 Series will be held on 15-16 February in the capital of the Southern Hemisphere, Sydney, Australia. This year’s campaign will kick off at the Big Top Sydney, located in the retro amusement park, Luna Park Sydney.
50 of the best drivers from 18 countries who performed at last year’s World Finals will be returning to compete once more. As with previous World Tours, there’ll be a Nations Cup where individual competitors will go head-to-head. Former champions Igor Fraga and Mikail Hizal will not be competing at this tournament, opening the door for some surprises and the birth of a new hero!

Miyazono would have made it work too in SPA 2019 wasn't for Latkovski pushing him out of the track in one of the most disgraceful moves of the year. Momoz couldn't have done it better.

@@VelhaGuardaTricolor I agree, Latkovski is very competitive and unfair when it's in his advantage. The thing is, he's using all the possible ways the judges will allow to make his way. It's kinda ugly but it just means the judges are not fair. In the end he is doing whatever he can to win and that's racing.

Oh my gosh absolutely brilliant racing. Watching it live and hearing the crowd bring the house down for Cody was an incredible experience. 0.032 over the line. I’m so happy for Miyazono but so gutted for Cody his best effort yet. I’m sure he’ll get it next time. This was superb. I feel for the Hungarian, I think he had the best strategy. He let Myazono push, stayed behind saving tyres, he would have been very strong at the end. Amazing drive from Cody and Myazono.

Unfortunately Hong Kong is a very strange situation, and it's not "they don't understand", it's more of they have to refer to it that way unfortunately. As autonomous and fortunately independent as Hong Kong is, China is the (I disagree with it but it's just how it is) soon to be owner of the country and it recognises that Hong Kong is "Chinese Territory". GT as well as many other international companies would face massive repercussions if they don't recognise it or sympathise with Hong Kong independence and the protesters there. Look at the NBA in USA for example.

I always wondered the same thing as to why they keep making the mistake but I found out it's on purpose, the Chinese market is a massive one and international companies like GT make lots of money from their Chinese consumers, so if they don't play by the Chinese rules the Chinese cut them off from the market. It's a shame really.

Great racing from all the drivers congratulations. Can I just say why aren't the daily races constructed like esport races? Rolling start are completely off time, different tyre compounds that you can never use. Why? And wierd tyre wear and fuel usage. Just make it 12 laps with 2 stops and every compound useable once, done.
