It's shameful actually, when I saw this my classification became meaningless. I'll take spectacular, clean driving with D class rather than be seated on a grid with these monkeys. The skill is in creating a SPECTACLE, for spectators, this was a second rate melee . As unrealistic as Ive seen.. come off and rejoin, a group of 1/1000th drivers, you're kidding, how?

There's thousands of drivers right now online that would have driven a cleaner, more spectacular race, D, C, B..A+ matters not, this was an example of SIM RACING at it's worst, none of it has to do with the SIM, it's just ego's that spoil the SIM experience, they never really understood the meaning of if, otherwise, they'd all get a beating by the teams collectively in pits or the garages, or worse, on track. The same happens in RC racing, but you have to look the guy in the face and accept you broke a 2k car.

@@HarrySinanian You just have to know that there are previous Pro-Am races where non-racers are involved. CNN was one of them. Edit: Besides, like I said, these races are not serious. If you don't like them, don't watch Pro-Am races.

Amateur drivers are more about those with popularity (Overtake GG, Super GT, etc.), unlike those GT drivers who are Pros that made their way into GTWS. Their T-shirts gave it away.

Yooo some of these guys don’t care to keep a clean race, just ramming and slamming into cars left and right. With my rating of D/C - I’ve never raced with people that gotten so many penalties like these guys. That one lap had 3 or 4 cars with penalties. Not a Clean race at all. Never seen soooo many dive bombs either. Gotta have new & better drivers next year.

I enjoyed this-- the driving was fun to watch and the commentators were good as always. I gotta say though, I was a little shocked that one of the things they were given was a PS5? Like don't the people racing likely already have one? Seems pretty cheap freakin' of PD or whoever was in charge of the prizes.

I wonder how much money Genesis paid to have this car, with no real world equivalent to GT3 spec cars, be so quick? Another day of Costa pushing another car off track for position, and only gets a warning? What is with that? How many people can he take out before receiving a penalty? Penalties galore for about everyone else though.

It’s not even close to the quickest or most consistent car in the class, and the sister brand Hyandai car (also not real like many others inc Citroen) in the same class is one of the slowest, the genesis is rarely competitive online and even here it seems to usually end up mid pack, I don’t understand what conspiracy you think you’re uncovering here

@@tanssi2145 where were you last week when the Genesis was the dominant car, or for every week the GTWS was going even, and nothing was catching it down the straight? Toyota, Genesis, and Mazda paid to have their brand on the box and on many sections of the game. That's not a conspiracy, that's called corporate capitalism. When they pay to have their car perform well, and every time the GTWS is going, Toyota and Genesis are the meta car for Group 3 and Mazda is the Group 4 meta. And when it's over, they go back to be the meta for a few tracks only. But, if you only use whatever the meta car is every day, you wouldn't notice that. Or, you can just ignore everything and pretend corporate capitalism is not happening. PD is a pro at ignoring everything and just doing their own thing, like taking two weeks to put out a patch so people could race online but I guess you didn't notice that either.

This was the perfect example of ego in motorsport, sadly it's as ugly a race as you'll get. Why? Because each and every one of you have very little respect for the driving quality of a grid. You were supposed to have earned your positions, not barge your way into them. As for the comebacks, I really struggle to fathom how? In a simple D class race, one mistake and you're hung out to dry back on track on your own. How the hell at your level can you even come off and think there's a race left in it for you. It in comparison to the mfg, or pro's is not a matter of driver skill, it's a matter of respect, courtesy and a love of SIM, versus winning... Good luck to anyone who think's it's a sport, it's supposed to be a pleasure and that's not what I saw on screen. Quite sad really, to think decades ago we uploaded our times on a 56k modem for the love of sims, hoping one day to race each other, and this isn't what I dreamt of. Fortunately, there are wonderful, talented and respectful racers, committed to the "SPORTSMANSHIP" Code of Conduct, with those drivers, we realise our dreams and race with pleasure and admiration for each of us, like instruments in a symphony each of us have our role to play, together we can be spectacular and harmonious and it regularly happens, all it takes is a little courtesy for your fellow drivers.
