I feel like I just found the Bob Ross of watercolors! I thought about painting with acrylics but decided to watercolors after watching you and others paint with this medium. I found it to be so beautiful and easy going. Thank you so much for all your tutorials!

I happen to come across your video today and after seeing many artists here on KZbin, you have been my favorite to watch and paint along with. Thank you for your technical, varied yet always calm teachings! It's an absolute joy learning from your demonstrations! I've done 4 just today!

I find your running commentary to be very instructive. You seem to bring the process of painting down to earth. And your use of color is a tutorial in itself! Thank you.

Thanx for taking the extra time to film clips of what's happening in your palette. As a beginner I find it to be quite instructive to get a visual idea of the consistency of your paint mixes. I hope you can include more of this in future videos. Thanx again!

Great video Grant, as always. As a rookie I appreciate how you simplify things (us beginners are messing up enough stuff as it is). We don't really need any "advanced" ideas to further mess with our minds. Thank you.

Super great tutorial and demonstration! So glad I found your channel. Your videos are probably some of the most informative and thorough because you show the whole process of painting the motive. Nice that is is not speed. And it is so helpful that you show the reference photo and your palette as you mix the colours, as well. Also, very nice to listen to your calm and relaxing voice when waching you paint. Thank you so much for making your videos! Beautiful painting - I really could see me and my dog walking into the landscape between the trees! : )

So clever! I have the greatest difficulty in laying down transparent layers - but I have only just started. My problem is the mixing and so I tend to use the main tint with adjustments - but it doesn't always work. Great watching such deft professionalism.

Can I ask what size brush you used for the closest hills? I have just started watercolour and sometimes my end results (especially for landscapes like hills) can look kinda.... line-y... I'm thinking this may be because I don't have a big enough brush to blend large areas?

Grant Fuller where do you buy 200 lb water color paper in Rockvill, MD?
@debjdavis17 жыл бұрын
I just tried this tutorial last night - very helpful! I noticed that at minute 4:20 the Cobalt Burnt Sienna mix looked more purple/pink, at 5:48 it appeared more green, but back again at 7:36 it seemed more purple again. Is that all due to the different combination of those two colors? I had trouble getting the purple colors with my attempt, only the green came out with the same colors.
