Super, das hat mir sehr geholfen, die Granular Synthese zu verstehen. :)

That grain viewer helps a lot. Thanks for the tutorial!

Hi, that helps, very nice, thanks! I do like the grain view in the upper rigth corner, where the grains are displayed.

One can also detach that grain window and enlarge it over the entire screen if needed, so you can really see what's going on.

Love that you've made these, they are such an incredible help. I'm hoping that you might be making some suggestions to accSone as they move to creating version 6. I'm now smitten with these granular filters and Hanning envelopes....amazing stuff.

Finished a book about microsound yesterday by Curtis roads. This video is the visualisation of it (almost) ... but kudos on doing both part 1 & 2 .. very informative. Danke

I saw Coll Andersons RiverRun demo and was intrigued by granular synth. It is about 1 of 7 types of synthesis. I have always been a fan of BolderSounds as well. Thank you for this patient tutorial. Revisiting from time to time can really soup-up my granular synth edu! I believe Fire On High was early granular synth?

Obviously some interesting sound design possibilities. But it looks so boring manipulating all those sliders and trying to understand/guess what they all do. I suppose you have to have a lot of interest and energy for this.

+Michael Bauers Maybe try playing the flute instead.

+Michael Bauers Uh, a misanthrope. If granular synthesis is not for you why even comment on it?
@michaelbauers88009 жыл бұрын
Played around with a lot of synths, wrote software for a living, designed some user interfaces, and due to my experiences with the above, I wondered, is there a simpler way to create the sound, etc. That's all. I can see perhaps it came across as overly critical, which was not my intention.
@SimonStockhausen19679 жыл бұрын
+Michael Bauers Well, there are so many parameters to control in granular synthesis that it's hard to simplify if you really want to take advantage of the possibilities it offers. Some interfaces are more intimidating than others, but each capable granular synthesizer/re-synthesizer will be complex and there is no one-button-app which can do it all at the turn of a few controls.
