My favorite was definitely the market! The vibe you got with all the different food and people from different cultures was really cool!! Also we got a lot of fresh fruits and veggies for our hotel to snack on!

I watch your channel since the pandemic and I loved the way you presented Vancouver. I think you should make a cameo in one of those (international) shows filmed in BC (as an adventurer ? or a gastronomic reporter ?). I mean, you know how to communicate, you have talent, you are not scared of a camera. And you played as a James Bond !

I've always loved every aspect of GI. Used to have lots of fun "liquid lunches" with a cheese platter on the side, at Bridges in the '80s, lol. More recently, I often will indulge in a piece of Blueberry pie from à La Mode - not sure about the rest of their menu, but the Blueberry pie's not bad (must be served "à la mode" though).

1. The balls in the display at 2:00 look like the ones used in the Gastown steam clock, which I love. 2. Once I saw the play "The Number 14" at Granville Island Theater. It's a stage play about social interaction on a #14 Hastings bus. For props they used seats from a 1960s GM New Look bus, with green and blue upholstery. Those are still BC Hydro's colors, the green representing BC's forests and the blue its waters. The letter H of course stands for Hydro. 3. IDKWYGNBIKIBTWY.

Is the hammock store called "The Hang Out Place"? I met this old couple, Malcolm and Barbara, at a Dead & Company concert being held at the Gorge Campground in Quincy Washington back in 2018. They gave me there card, and when you mentioned the store I went an dug it out to check the address and sure enough, 1652 Duranleau St. They've been there since 1989! Thanks for the memories!

Great video, but why so short?!? There's a ton of stuff on GI. Do another video, go look at the toys in the toy shops, meats in the meats shops, the bakeries, the hand made merch, all these have things you can't buy or don't see much anywhere else. And then chats with the owners about what unique stuff they sell.
@DownieLive6 жыл бұрын
Actually I think you should do that! That’s why the video was so short, to show you what’s there so you want to go back and explore it on your own. 😉👍🏼

The technical name is 'float home'. These are literally homes that float. But, if you would like to move one you would need a tugboat to do so. Houseboats are also a thing, but these are self-propelled boats that are fitted out like houses (bathrooms, kitchens, etc.).
@DownieLive3 жыл бұрын
Ah, that makes sense. Thanks.

@@DownieLive No problem. I knew someone who lived on one at one time (different location). That person gave us a tour and told us this type of detail. :D
