This was exactly what I have been trying to find for the past 2 hours! It's impossible to find a tutorial on how to make patterns with differently positioned patterns!

Hi, which tools do you prefer to use to outline the leaves and sticks? Blob brush, paintbrush or pen tool? Any advice?

Hi! Thank you so much for asking. I'm afraid we can't give you an answer from here, but if you want you can ask your question directly to the tutor that created this tutorial by visiting Tutpad.com To make it easier for you, in this link you can find this tutorial: www.tutpad.com/tutorials/how-to-create-an-autumn-pattern-in-adobe-illustrator

Hello! Thanks for this tutorial. When I make the swatch. I can see a white line (it is a gap between one pattern to another). My patter is with a solid color background. I opened it with photoshop and when I zoon the gap it is one pixel. All have the same position. I don't know why the little gap between the patterns... it is not nice when you have color background. Let me know how I can fix it. Thanks!
@freepik7 жыл бұрын
Hi, First of all, you'll need to inspect your pattern to see if it's made correctly, and depending on what you find, there are a few different ways you can get rid of or hide the lines. If you still see thin white lines in your patterns, try zooming in and out at different zoom levels, as it is sometimes a problem with viewing the software. If the problem persists you can try to include a new background background color under the sample and disable the Anti-Aliasing option. Thank you so much and if you want to learn more about creative design, visit tutpad.com :)

i think pattern making complete after clipping mask 10:47 .next why you copy same thing to right ,is this necessary?

it's just for back up copy, in case you want to change something to the design

Thank you for the video! However, I think I missed something here! Did you place the square over the print with transparency or send to back? And why did you do flatten transparency?
@freepik7 жыл бұрын
Hi there, thanks for watching! Alba used "send to back" here. Flatten transparency is usually used if the artwork contains transparency, especially if the idea is to print the image. What this does is, divides the image into vector-based areas and rasterized areas. Hope this helped!
@tjchan777 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your fast reply! As far I know, to create a clipping mask, the square needs to be over the artwork, so I don't understand how "send to back" works. What is the transparency this artwork contains?
@freepik7 жыл бұрын
That's right, to create a clipping mask, the square does need to be over the design; however the square I think you're referring to is the second one the author creates, in order to show you how to apply a pattern.
@tjchan777 жыл бұрын
I was referring to the first square at 10:36. Alba did send the artwork to back. But I can see the artwork showing through, which looked like the square is sent to back.

Hi there, super helpful but the end goes super fast and I am not sure what I am supposed to do or why I am doing it. I do not have any transparencies in my design but need to eliminate the parts outside the artboard. thanks!
