I think the fundamental issue with Adipurush is Om raut's lack of conviction. The whole approach is unnecessary, I had my doubts when they decided to shoot the whole movie on the sets. I mean Ramayan has majority of forest which is the best part about it, so they could’ve shot the film in live locations in scenic locations and save the budget to spend on Vfx or cg for set pieces that required more attention like Kumbhakarna, Ayodhya etc. The whole interpretation the epic itself is a huge misfire. I believe only SS Rajamouli sir can do justice and even deliver beyond expectations with Epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Director has convinced himself that people are going to curse him which isn't actually true. But still, he's having performance anxiety and that could be making him do a bad job. He should think like an audience and then move ahead. And personally, I feel it is too late to make an appealing comeback.

I know it becomes an issue for other folks. But honestly, I don't care. It is just a movie for me which they could not make well enough to justify the content they had. And that is it. Ramayan is a religious scripture. We don't know how exactly they looked or the clothes they wore. We just have an image from the paintings or the serial that was made. Why to make such a huge fuss. People can get offended on anything nowadays.

In teaser and this poster it is clear that the director thinks ramayana is about god, war, demons, valour. But ramayana is about values, morality, society, love, friendship and struggles of a king while in exile. I doubt if the makers have ever read ramayana.
