Sounds like there is more than 3dB treble boost in example one. Suppose you think it's too much, then you have to drag every slider carefully down, while a parametric would only need 1 knob moved. Why would you prefer a Tilt instead of two shallow Shelves? I loaded another graphic EQ from a reputable brand in VST analyzer, and I saw significant "ripple" in the frequency response instead of a flat line. Each bell's Q didn't completely overlap with its neighbors. I think graphic EQ is mostly for room or speaker response correction where it's hard to break down the curve into elements.

hi all, i'm a guitarist and i'm looking for an EQ pedal that has a graphic display that shows the frequencies of the sound, similar to what we see at around 1:51. does anyone know if such a thing exists? thank you all and thanks Audio Masterclass for the helpful video.

Why use EQ anyway. (EQ fixes nothing according to the honest Audiophile) so why use it?
