If you're looking for a children's book for your granddaughter, try Marice Sendak's " In the Night Kitchen". It's available in a lovely hardcover and my nieces loved the story & beautifully drawn art. Plus, it's a Caldecott Honor Award winner.

Definitely getting Houses of The Unholy and Dracula! Thats rough that your X-Men omni has defects like that, I’ve had some similar issues with a couple books in the past as well. Nice haul Larry!

Great haul, Larry. One of my trade paper backs for 100 Bullets had the same issue you had with X-men. I replaced it with the omnibus of course but it drove me nuts to look at it.

Can't wait to read my copy of Houses of the Unholy when it arrives. My order got delayed because another book was out of stock but finally shipped. That Dracula by Tynion and Simmons is great! I read it online first and then got the oversized hardcover. I'm glad they are back on the Department of Truth, but that Dracula story was damn good too. I still need to pick up Once snd Future. Have not read any of it yet but I'm a fan of both Gillen and Dan Mora.

Uncanny X-Men Vol. 3 was the first omnibus I ever pre-ordered. I wanted the Direct Variant cover and I bought it from Tales of Wonder as I expected it would sell out fast upon release and didn't want to take the chance trying to track it down. Well, I pre-ordered it with another book and that other book didn't come out for three more weeks. When it arrived, I discovered they sent me the standard cover instead. The whole purpose I pre-ordered it and it didn't mean anything. And, of course, by that point the DM cover was long, long gone. Oh well. I guess it's just a cover, right? 😐 Only once after that did I ever get the wrong version of a cover again... the Onslaught omnibus, where DCBS sent me the standard cover instead of the DM cover. Oh well. That one I didn't care so much about, but I'm not really a fan of modern art and colors on a "classic" omnibus.

Bummer....TOW is normally very solid...but yes I agree the dust jacket cover won't make or break a deal for me either.

Well, my fave is the Charlie Brown one. And maybe you could pass your damaged X-Men Omni looks to be a good Reade cookie to me. Or a loaner if someone you know might be interested in reading it.
