Watching this video before my freshman math college exam tomorrow and I came unprepared unknowing that courses end much earlier in college than in high school and with a low grade cause I forgot to do a majority of assignments. I have log5(x+1). I reckon that when 4 is my x value, I get a 1 for my why value, which would be log5(x) translated to the left by one.

1. First graph log base2 (x) on a set of axis and then carry out the below transformations. 2. The (2-x) portion - means that it is the graph of log base2 reflected in the y axis. 3. Now, once you do that, the (-2) at the end of the function means that the entire graph is moved down 2 units. Great maths textbook- just google, IBID Press Math HL pdf. It is an IB textbook but it is fantastic, download from the first 2 links (which will be from 4shared.com)

Seth Nino Paparon logarithms are the inverse of exponentials. If you want, you can graph y = 2^x then just switch the x and y coordinates to graph y=log_2 x
