I don't know how to say thank you enough. I have watched so many of your videos and the effort, patience, and knowledge that you put into each and everyone deserves so much more recognition and monetization.

at 5:05, can someone explain why we add a +/- sign to sqr of 4? is it because (x-3) is a negative expression?
@Mathispower4u7 ай бұрын
For a simpler example, x^2 = 4. x can equal 2 or -2. To get both solutions when we square root both sides we include a +/-. sqrt(x^2)=+/-sqrt(4) -> x = +/-2

If Standard form were vertex form, it would be called only Vertex Form. Standard is Ax^2 + Bx + C

noticed this too, was just about to comment. Square rooting a negative should be different too, shouldn't it? It would be +/- 2i instead of +/- 2 unless I'm missing something. Idk I'm still trying to learn this stuff so now I'm very confused! Someone tell me if I'm missing something.
@oliviakorpi65973 жыл бұрын
Nevermind!! -8 from both sides which gives you -8/-2 = +4
