Thank you so very much for doing this channel. I also live in NC - much farther East, about 2-2.5 hours East. It was good to know that somewhere in NC there was someone else interested in clover lawns. My best friend as well as my oldest son think I am crazy, but my younger son is helping me do this so the heck with what those detractors think. Brief rundown: I decided to go with all clover. So after looking at as many YT videos as I could find on how to start a lawn from scratch, how to get rid of an old lawn and start all over, clover lawns from all over the place - Vancouver to Florida, Texas to Colorado - my decision was: I am sick to death at having someone who while mowing, runs over my planted-on-purpose plants, killing them. I am sick of paying what I think is an unreasonable amount for this to happen, and then to see a yearly increase in the ransom, with no better results or care. So: I killed my more-weeds-than-anything-else yard, and am planting an all miniclover one. I know it won't be overnight. I know it will take probably two or more years to see the best results. But it is underway now.

I’m trying to grow it… literally put 10lbs on 1230 Square feet and it is not growing… not sure if I’m giving it too much or too little water… anyone know how much water it should be getting? Do I need to till the ground?

I put 2 lbs on 1100 sqft in the Spring before the rain season. It sprouted and grew very well. Because I wanted a pure clover lawn and did not find the proper herbicide to kill other broadleaf weeds (now I know), I used Roundup to spray on weeds causing many brown patches. When I reseeded another one lb of clover seeds in the Summer, it did not sprout much. So I think it works best if you have time to water the lawn everyday before sprouting. Otherwise, just do it before the rain season.

@@Dash-angle I agrre thatFall or VERY early spring seeding is optimal. P.S. if you found an herbicide that kills weeds but not clover, let me know.

@@scottjones1905 2,4-DB (note not 2,4-D) kills broadleaf weeds but not clover; Grassout or Max Arrest kills grasses but not broadleaf weeds nor clover.
