Grasshopper Care - Feeding

aw man, i feel ur pain!! my mini red-legged grasshopper has passed of old age, and while i was takeing care of him i tryed to follow all of ur videos. and give him a spacious 5 gallon, and 23 inch high container, because i wanted them the best life possible! so, i fed him shredded and sprayed lettuce with some grasses, and spinach. i figured out that oatflakes are also a heathy treat, so ide give him a few of those . and it was really fun watching him!! i love ur videos.

Brought a grasshopper home accidentally in the foliage of a pineapple, named him cricket. Couldn't let myself put him outside to freeze. Bought him a 10 gal and gave him a nice home. Just been feeding him fresh weatgrass and also have grads growing in his enclosure. Excited to start feeding him some veggies.

Hello! Soon im getting a grasshopper from the wild and i love watching ur care and breeding videos! I REALLY would love it if u made more videos and maybe like a 20 minute long video covering everrrrything you need to know! At my moms house i saw 12 babies and i would love to rescue one from the dangerous wild .. Also a video on how to tell apart the genders would be amazing ♥️

I'm so glad you enjoy the series! I might do a video on everything you need to know, I'm not sure when though because its winter for me now 😅 I think a video on genders will be great, I will definitely do that! If you want to know right now look at the abdomens on your grasshoppers- females are smaller at the end and tilt upwards. Males are rounded, and straight. I don't know when I will make the video, so If I am a bit late, I hope this helps :) Update me on how they are going when you get them :D

A ten-gallon tank is AMAZING!! the grasshopper will love it! just make sure to provide all its needs and give all of the bugs enough food so they will be happy and healthy together.

The best thing to feed grasshoppers is other grasshoppers. Just leave them in a cage without any food and they will eat each other.
