We decided over the cold, wet winter months we should get a dyno out and test our own machines as well as a variety of others. All of these machines feature in either a DVD of ours, or on our online streaming service 'GRASSMENTV'

Tractors are dyno'ed from the PTO? I just learned something!

When the engines in the tractor it's very difficult to Dyno it at the flywheel.Nearly all manufacturers quote flywheel hp as its higher than wheel or PTO hp.Typically 10 to 15hp drive and pumping loss.

looked like around 180 horsepower and a bit shy under 900 lb-ft of torque...

Dylan 6616 torque is the actual ability to do work. Horsepower is a poor way to rate engines. Here's something to remember Horsepower takes you to the hill, torque pulls you over it

@@RJ1999x Power literally is a measurement of work.

Torque is any force that imparts rotational motion,in a shaft gear or wheel. In an engine it refers to the force turning the crankshaft and is a function off rotational speed and power. If you know the hp at fixed rpm you can mathematically calculate torque and vise versa hp.The two are related by a constant.Hope I have explained clearly what torque is.
