Because the tractor drivers are fuckin it up... A good driver varies the speed and the field chopper driver has not to move its pipe every two seconds. He just looks sometimes normally...

U can tell deere has gone full German! Liebherr engine! That is pathetic for an American company!! Well ofcourse they can drop the rpm it's a 24l engine vs 19 in the Cummins. 24l only making 950hp isnt impressive. New Holland 920 has a 20l with 950hp!

This is called being cautious with resources. The drop in rpm means less fuel used and less emissions caused - protecting nature to at least a small extend. Do you actually have a problem with this machine not being all American? You do realize that quite a lot of JD products, as well as New Holland and MF products are engineered and built abroad? By the way built in Germany usually is equivalent to good quality if you didn't quite get the memo.

You've just described 90% of farm equipment. Most of it is only used a month or 2 out of the year. It's not a cheap game.

tbf a contractor (the target demographic) can pay for a machine like this in 3-5 seasons if they get enough customers. but i do see what you mean and what ticks me off even more is that after so many seasons a contractor will buy a new one because the new one can work "more efficiently" but in reality its only like 2% more efficient
