Jerry gone far too soon, now every time I hear thunder I’ll think of Phil bombs. Don’t wait, don’t hesitate, our true musical icons are dropping like flies and once they’re gone the recordings just aren’t the same. Spend a few bucks to support the bands that still tour you won’t regret it. Blessed Be in 2025.

The quality of the recording didn't bother me, this is pretty damn good for being 50 years old, I wonder sometimes if we're spoiled with the digital stuff and the wide distribution of sound boards. I remember treasuring my tapes back in the day. With the widespread distribution of digital soundboards I actually am hunting those audience recordings, those audience recordings like a window into time

Thank you so much Okie! This is a wonderful tape There are few shows that exist from this period that are as intact. Just a couple notes: This was actually 2 shows (early show and late show). This partly explains the unusual set lists (even for this time). The first show has an encore of Uncle John's Band that is included in this recording. St Stephen and Midnight Hour are the encores of the second show. 🌹 [Edit] For reference: The band were working very hard on Workingman's Dead and American Beauty harmonies at this point. Workingman's was recorded the next month 2/70 and released 6/70. American Beauty was released 11/70. Live/Dead had been recorded almost a year earlier [/edit].
