To expand upon that point, Terrapin Station has been a personal favorite. 3 years ago we had a turtle 🐢 living under our deck so we were feeding it believing it to be a male we named it “Tonto” when it reappeared the following year we noticed a lump on its neck. After researching we found it was an abscess in its ear. We trapped it and took it to a wildlife rehab center for treatment. We soon found out it was a female approximately 25 years old so we renamed it “Squanto”. I’m happy to say “Squanto” is healthy and happy and now we feed her cantaloupe and sweet potatoes; her malady is caused by a Vitamin A deficiency. So thus the ethereal and poignant nature of the artwork. Short story long as they say. Anyway we love “Squanto”!!! More to come…
