Jerry walking onstage, what a beautiful site. How cool that must of been for him to feel all the love directed his way. Jerry Garcia has brought as much happiness to my life as my family, such a wonderful gift. I truly can't imagine life without the grateful dad's music.

Best Dead show I ever attended I had a back stage pass and in between the songs that Donna Godchaux wasn't singing in I had the chance to smoke some hash with her. Then the second set started with a 45 minute version of Scarlet/Fire, my favorite combo of dead tunes! It was epic!
@creampuffwar445710 ай бұрын
You are lying shamelessly - Donna was not with the dead anymore at that time - this was in Essen in Germany and I was there - why do you lie like that? What’s the point?

Is that Klaus Voorman who Jerry walks by and he pats Jerry on the shoulder? He played bass on John Lennon's Imagine album.

As opposed to someone like Elton John who would make sure the stage area or going up to the stage before a gig was cleared and nobody that was in I shot could give any eye contact some rock stars are really pretty weird but let's face it Jerry was so down to earth he was father Earth I remember the first time I saw the Dead and there was Jerry way up on stage I was about second row and he would look down and just make eye contact with everybody and you felt as if you were connected to some deity I never felt that with any other musician

Can’t help but think - “It must have been amazing to be Jerry- to be loved, in the spotlight, the center of attention and adoration, doing what he loved.” Knowing how this all ended I also can’t help but think - “All that glitters....”
@arlenmargolin16503 жыл бұрын
You know I don't know if these two are comparable in any way whatsoever but one thing I can say is that when I was a small child of what 456 years old I had bright orange red whatever some kind of weird color hair that was like a flaming pile and I can remember from that time period was wherever I went everybody rub my head and just made comments almost to the point where it's got to be absurd so I'm wondering if all that adulation ended up getting to be too much or you get to love it I don't know it can become overwhelming CRF

Every night was special whether it felt like it was "on" or not. Looking back, there werent many occasions where the biys being on stage wasnt a joyous occasion. Obviously, the early 90s would change that sentiment.....
