@@krissantos5170 Thanks kris, and I appreciate your time stamps. I was fortunate enough to see a lot of shows during the 70’s and 80’s and somehow still have a functioning memory. My employer somehow put up with my long weekends and days off for seven years until finally giving me the boot in 1981. Then I had all kinds of time to wander and tour on unemployment and severance money.

Missing from this tape and just before the encore was Bob’s statement: “On your way out tonight , watch yourself, the police are everywhere and they’ll hang you up and take your money“. This was because before the show, there were police dressed up as parking staff on the county roads coming in. They would look in your car while your car crawled past them in the backed up traffic looking for people getting high or open containers. Then they radioed ahead and pulled you over. They actually had a processing table set up on the side of the road. If you payed the ticket right away, you could go, otherwise they might haul you off

Once after an Alpine Phish show fueling up, cop saw a nugget on console of VW bug. As I'm coming out of the store he says, that your car? What's with the marijuana on the front seat? I ran to passenger side, grabbed and swallowed it. He chased me around and around beetle ripping my Dancing Bear tie dye. Grabbed my throat but it was too late for him...😋 cuffed and stuffed inside cop car, he's searching VW. We used to ride with the back seat flipped up flat so one could lay down in the back. Cop struggling to look underneath in battery compartment. There's a latch you have to pull. I swear I was yelling trying to tell him where the latch was. No one heard me. They let us go with no ticket. Later, on the highway my friend who was driving told me, good thing he didn't get under the seat bc I have a bunch of illegal pills down there. 😹
