I love this band too and I’ve got many people in my grade to like it too. I love the music that was made in the 70s and late 60s like the Beatles and all the other bands at this time. Even though this song was made in 1980 it still has the vibe of the 70s to me.

I remember going to a furthur concert in ~2014. I was 19 and it was my first live concert. This was the first song I heard. The vibration and energy was like a tidal wave that you could feel, unlike with any other music. Everyone, namely a few memorable long haired eccentric hippy-types, immediately and instinctually loosened up and grooved as if it were orchestrated ahead of time. That was a moment that was stamped in my psyche like an iron branding rod. Ever since then, Althea is one of my favorite songs of GD, along with the studio version help on the way/ slipknot. Perfect amount of masculine seriousness, power, and the whole relaxation-filled flowery feminine mother-naturey thing. Good stuff.

My my first time at S. Francisco was to feel the city and I arrive in the day Jerry passed away. I could stay only ten days but everithing of the Grateful Dead is present, the sound of the city is so beautiful such the lyrics of Robert Hunter, Paul Kanter, David Crosby or looking for the rest of the Fillmore or buying a lot of good local records to hear in my small and beautiful Portugal small European country know by the Port Wine that a nice Police in Sausalito pleasant show where are some studios where Grace Slick gently speak with us. I really love S. Francisco people, city and music event today I go to a waik and feel like my 66 years are a dream lietening all kind-of music. And this is only about Althea......I miss You but I feel like you are always with me.
