Yeah, I was at that first Longshoreman's Hall gig (and most of the rest) and it was mind-blowing. Interesting things were happening indeed. Certainly changed my live!

Funny how the 13th floor elevators from Austin, (the house band at the Avalon ballroom and the family dog from Austin) has been written out of history. They got busted and broke up before the dead and the airplane even started. The elevators were spreading the gospel of lsd before the pranksters.

Not true the pre Dead band the Warlocks first official gig was May 1965 until the name change to the Dead in December 1965. Same with the Airplane they also formed in mid 1965, also Ken Kesey’s Pranksters had acid party’s in 1964!

Part III removed due to copyright issues? Just use an editor to remove the offending part(s). I've had to do that myself on one occasion.

It's a shame that there wasn't more film of these acid tests because they must have been something that was salvageable that went missed either some poetry or some interesting sounds or sites it's just a shame it wasn't recorded although I've seen some footage but I don't think anything extensive I could be wrong

13:45 more or less: does he really say "the acid community was mushrooming"? Oh, I think that really deserves a Horatian ode to serendipity authored by cowboy Neal at the wheel on a bus to ... today.
