TERRAPIN is one of the most amazing songs ever written.period
@bluecollar8252 жыл бұрын
It really is. Ive listened to it so many times and I still can get lost in it every time. At one point it was so bad I knew dates just from hearing versions, or the date of one where Bobby literally plays like 3 notes that are so well timed that 5 seconds was the main reason I listened to that version lol. I guess the best I can put it is it really does just take me to another place. 👍✌

@@Karmakatt6 dont get it twisted, the same entity that flooded harlem with heroin in the 30s 40s 50s and south central with crack in the 80s 90s and is currently making sure every highschool kid across america knows what percs and xanys are...and has access to, at the very least, fake ones pressed outs fentanyl...is the same entity that introduced heroin and coke to the dead....its the same one that turned the consciousness expansion/enlightenment/clinical therapy for mental health issues which was beginning to change western culture and revolutionize it into something that was focused on peace and self knowledge/improvement that was exploding in the early to mid 60s...into a rock n roll party scene. unfortunately the dead helped them with that...but, as was and still is (i believe) their wont, the dead did the exact opposite of what everyone else who was being used for this purpose did...they used the rock n roll party scene as a way to preserve the core of (at least some) of the ideals that almost ended americas participation in the nee world orders military agenda. i think that jerry knew what the deal was, and felt guilty because all these kids going to shows and dropping acid because of them, were lookin up to him as though he was leading the rebel order so to speak...when in fact he had sold out to the very people those kids thought going to a dead show was a rebellion against when in fact the dead show was there creation. jerry knew the dead were compromised, but couldn’t tell anyone why they compromised cause that would meant the end for them...and certainly his very very premature death...he was stuck being forced to do something he didnt want to do which involved misleading the very people who worshipped him and not only that, he couldn’t even tell the people who knew they sold out, what they were doing to help preserve the thing their sellout was intended to destroy. he had to accept a lot of his peers wouldnt understand...they would just see rock n roll and drugs with no cultural evolution. so again, he had the kids he made a deal to deceive worshiping him as a leader make the last rebel stand against the people he made a deal with. he had to deal with the people trying to evolve western culture that weren’t able to see the reasons for the deal or what was being done on the sly seeing him as a corporate american sell out cashing in on the novelty factor just like the tourist busses in tue haight back in the mid 60s...and he felt guilty and misunderstood as well as being very literally gagged and unable to tell anyone the truth. if you arent picking up what im putting down...think about bobby weir hanging out at bohemian grove and think about all the cypher punks from the 70s and 80s in the bay area who are now building out the new world orders digital financial slavery system. ask yourself if people who were so anti authoritarian it was just an innate part of them they couldn’t help really could just one say wake up and say “yeah fuck it man why was i so uptight about this control thing and why did i care about personal freedom so much anyways its kinda dumb...ya know what im gonna do, im gonna make it up to the guys at the top of that pyramid. im gonna see if i cant make ammends to them somehow and maybe even be forgiven and accepted into their fold.” can you imagine the kid who was schooled in the ways of the prankster by cowboy neal himself, while dude crashed in his bedroom with him, joining the bohemian grove and getting all chummy with the richard nixons and dick cheneys of the world unless he had good cause and was trying to do something...not for them but for the individual? can you picture the hackers who hated the mic so much that even after they were arrested and basically told your life is over you work for us from now on and walk the streets of america otherwise a free person or you go in a cia controlled hole in some third world hell, continuing to write and release encryption code that could protect individuals from the surveillance systems they were building for the govt...can you imagine these people waking up one day just feeling sick to their stomach with guilt over this that they decided to make it up to the man by building out a financial system that once fully incorporated into their surveillance system will make individual liberty a thing of the past??? no well then ask yourself why these very people would be doing these very things and also understand that jerry just wanted to play guitar this whole future of the human race and biblical fight between the forces of good and evil were just a bit too much for him...and he found in heroin what every junky finds...a way to boil all life’s problems down and condense them into one problem...the only problem you have when your on heroin. getting well.

Lol hard to believe however I have vivid memories of many shows and/or experiences and I’m a 43-year-old single father. In any case this and many other songs are literally a prophecy and/or a book written in the past about the future taking place in the present moment as we move into the fifth dimension loving like to all the dead heads out there🙏🙌🏻❤️🌈🌈🌈😇
