It's 2022 I'm lying in my bed crying non stop. God has been saying something to me about "building, renewing, and renovating my house" - which is referring to Him building my character, for His glory. I don't know what it is that God has called me to do, or what he wants me to do, but I am trusting Him that he is doing all that is necessary in my life, pruning me, so that I may be what He has called me to do. Today has been such a bad day for me. But I stand in gratitude for all He has done, but most importantly, gratitude because He is a King, and no situation ever changes who He is.

I’ve known Jesus as my savior since I was 7 years old. I cried out to Him then, not knowing anything about being born again, just knowing I needed His help in my life. I’ve been through more then my fair share of life’s ups and downs and faced many trials. Recently my wife and I felt the Lord lead us to move. I wasn’t sure why, it seemed entirely illogical. Little bit by little bit I have seen the Lord has been dealing with my heart. He has been uprooting, cutting out, cleaning up and replanting things in my heart. I’ve been involved in the ministry for most of my Christian life, lead worship for many years, toiled and labored in what felt like the desert for a long time. A few weeks ago the Lord showed me the verse about putting new wine in a new wine skin. Sometimes we don’t know what the old wine is until it’s being poured out. We think we’ve done so much good for the Lord and are so set with what we have and what we know. Sometimes He wants to empty us and give us new wine. We fight and kick and have no idea it’s Him at work. I sat playing this song in tears tonight just thanking the Lord. He knows how little we are. He knows our songs fall short. He knows we lack. He is the one that fills us and we need to remember that He is the king. Bless you brother, thank you for sharing this song.

This is my favorite version. Just guitar and voice. No background extra instruments, nothing else but Him and God. Even the key it’s sung in is different. More raw / pure in sound. I could not find this version on Spotify. I found an acoustic version and the video was even similar - but it’s not this one. It’s different. All versions are well done. But this one is special because when I first heard it, I was coming out of a crisis situation and I was so very grateful… I played this every morning when I first woke up. When I listen to it now, I “remember my first Love” (Jesus) and how He rescued me in too many ways to recount / fit here. It reminds me to always be grateful, and not forget all that He’s done for me - most especially sacrificing Himself for each and every one of us. It soothes… It reminds. Thank You, Jesus.

I was molested at the age of 7, I never processed it as a teenager, or even as a young man. My walk with the Lord revealed to me that the moment I chose to never speak of, could very well be responsible for the mentality I developed towards sex, women, perversion, and sexual immoral endeavors, like Pornography.
